Phyllastrepus flavostriatus
This highly localised resident spends its time in the mid-stratum and canopy of forests. The yellow streaks on its breast together with its unique foraging behaviour separate it from other similar looking species.
We first set eyes on this slender greenbul on our first trip to Kurisa Moya in April 2011. I have seen it many times since then in the surrounding Woodbush Forest, where following its cheerful call is a great way to identify the whereabouts of bird parties.
