Yellow-rumped Seedeater

Serinus xanthopygius

This streaky brown seedeater with a yellow rump, white or buffish throat and whitish supercilliary stripes, is common and widespread in bush country, open woodland and cultivation.

We first set eyes on this species in September 2011 in El Kerama Eco Lodge, while on a 3 week 4×4 trip in Kenya.
