White-throated Robin-chat

Cossypha humeralis (endemic)

This stunning, southern African endemic can be found in thickets and riverine scrub in woodland and savanna. It is also the only robin-chat that has a white wingbar and in my eyes may well be the most beautiful.

We first set eyes on this exquisite robin-chat species in June 2010 at Jatinga Country Lodge & Restaurant in White River.
