Eupodotis senegalensis
When visiting El Karama Eco Lodge in northern Kenya, in September 2011, we were treated to amazing sightings of these striking bustards.
I am now trying to track down our own south african endemic; Barlow’s Korhaan, which is often treated as a separate species to the white-bellied bustard. The combination of blue fore-neck, rufous hind-neck and white belly is diagnostic for this attractive bird.
