Quelea erythrops
Although this species has an incredibly large range, it is uncommon in southern and South Africa, where it occurs as a breeding migrant, from July to November, in damp grassland and adjoining woodland (specifically along the east coast of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa).
I first recorded this species in September 2013 in the gardens of Umngazi River Bungalows near Port St Johns. I did not realize that they travelled so far south, but after further investigation, this is clearly part of their journey before heading back north.
