Sylvietta whytii
This locally common resident in miombo & teak woodland and riparian forest is slightly smaller than the long-billed crombec. It can be further differentiated from the latter by its rufous face and underparts, as well as the lack of a grey eye stripe.
I recorded this member of the almost tailles crombecs in September 2011 while birding the gardens of the Seravo Lion Hill Game Lodge in the Lake Nakure National Park, Kenya.
