I first set eyes on this regal eagle in February 2012 while driving from Punda Maria to Pafuri in northern Kruger National Park. A good area to see them in summer (specifically when the quelia are around), within 2 hours of Johannesburg, is the Zaagkuildrift to Kgomo Kgomo birding route.
