Apalis cinerea
This relatively dull apalis, with its brown-washed crown, grey mantle and white outer tail feathers, is common in the Kenyan highlands where it spends the majority of its time in the forest canopy.
We first recorded this species in September 2011 while driving through Aberdares National Park towards “The Ark”. We were watching a pair of Silvery-cheeked Hornbills when we spotted this little birding moving across the canopy.
