Fawn-coloured Lark

Calendulauda africanoides (near-endemic)

We first recorded this striking lark in April 2011 while visiting the sandy solis of central Botswana.

Our best sighting, however, was in May 2013 while spending two weeks in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. We found a very accomodating bird near Groot Kolk on the road to Botswana.
