Dark-capped or Common Bulbul

Pycnonotus tricolor

Differentiated from other bulbuls by its black eye-ring, the dark-capped bulbul is both vocal and conspicuous in a wide variety of woodland habitats.

It is one of the most common birds in the east of southern Africa and will not be hard to add to your list on any outing in this region.
