Corvus capensis
This pitch black crow generally favours open habitats with scattered trees, such as grassland and open savanna woodland, but is also fairly common in semi arid shrubland.
We first recorded this crow in January 2010 while exploring Cathedral Peak in the Drakensberg, KwaZulu Natal. My best sightings and photographs, however, have been in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
